After many delays and band line-up changes, Evanscence seem to finally be ready to release their third album.

The lead single "What You Want" seems to pick up write where Amy Lee left off - rocking hard, dressed in sexy goth garb and singing with that unmistakable voice of hers.

At first, I thought it was so lame that after all this waiting, they sound exactly the same. After all, the rules of the music game have changed, so now would be the chance to play with their sound.

But, I quickly realized that the alternative meant Amy Lee singing with stuttered Auto-Tune, to an 808 beat with guitars taking a back seat to synthesizers. 

So, in light of that, I say good on you Amy and the boys. Thanks for making real music. Even if it does sound just a touch dated.
