The Muppets cover LCD Soundsystem

How amazing is this clip?

In this unofficial video for LCD Soundsystem's "Dance Yrself Clean", directed by Javier Douglas, the Muppets take over a rooftop in Brighton to perform for the passers-by below.

Other than the fact that Cookie Monster is not part of the Muppets (he's strictly Sesame Street, isn't he?), this is cute and amazing.

And it gets even better when you see the gang at an afterparty, dj-ed by Animal, followed by shots of Cookie Monster and Animal drinking till they pass out and Kermit and Miss Piggy walking the streets high on something till they make out.

Usually, I'd be upset that someone was tarnishing these characters from my childhood...but strangely, I find this really funny.

The Lonley Island have an announcment

They just had sex!

The funny boys who became famous for their SNL music videos "Dick In A Box", "Jizz In My Pants", and "I'm On A Boat" have a new album coming out and the lead single has been dropped.

"I Just Had Sex" is a bouncing hip-hop track with hilarious lyrics about The Lonley Island boys, well, just having very horrible sounding sex, but they're thrilled about it.

The cameos from Akon, Blake Lively and Jessica Alba are hilarious. I like when celebs have a sense of humour, especially Akon, who's probably had so much sex he probably doesn't even realize why it would be such a big deal anymore!

This guy is amazing

London, Ontario native Mike Tompkins has posted this amazing a capella/beatbox cover of Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)". You have to see and hear it to believe it.

He recreates the bass, synths, drums, even the explosions, all with his own vocals, while singing his reworked lyrics. And it's super amazing that he gets local rapper Shad to spit out a guest verse.

I love when people show off their talent and are genuine about it. And according to his Facebook page, he doesn't want to pursue a music career. All he wants to do is "put a smile on peoples faces and show his diversity as an artist".

Um, I think that's all about to change soon. How long before Ellen has him on her show?

And can we just take a moment to appreciate how cute he is? Well, except for the faces he makes doing the synth effects.

Cookie Monster wants to host SNL

The internet played a crucial role on getting Betty White on to Saturday Night Live.

And, apparent SNL Fan Cookie Monster wants the same thing to happen to him.

That's right, everyone's favourite cookie addict is campaigning to host SNL. And he's even made an audition tape that begs to be seen.

Who knew that he has such a good grasp on the inner workings of the show? And his impersonation of Lady Gaga is a revelation, I tell you. A revelation.
