Of course, Gaga would move the release of her new video for "Yoü & I" from Thursday to today, Madonna's birthday, just to rub it in her face.
Bitch.
Just kidding. Probably just a coincidence. Right? Like how "Born This Way" coincidentally sounds like "Express Yourself".
Anyway, it's all forgiven because, even though I can't stand this song, this video is Lady Gaga's best videos since "Bad Romance", believe me.
Think Shania Twain meets Marylin Manson. We see Gaga in all sorts of Frankenstein-ian scenarios with her sexy male model lover. She's got bionic limbs! She's being electrocuted! She's a mermaid! It's all a very stylized version of kink, if you ask me. And it serves nicely as a metaphor for the lengths you would go through for a lover. After all, the song is about her on-again-off-again boyfriend, so who know how many times she's felt she had to "change" for him. Or, how many times she's felt he's brought her back to life, if we continue with the Frankenstein's monster theme.
But, what's more revealing is Gaga, in near-nude makeup, at the piano, seranading herself, dressed in drag. After all, who can love Gaga, more than Gaga herself?
There is a lot going on in this video, and after the WTF-ness of her past efforts from Born This Way, it's nice to see her return to her music video making prowess.
So, Miles Fisher is a singer and actor who is drop dead gorgeous and could be Tom Cruise's long-lost son. Look!
Anyway, he's currently in Final Destination 5, and he recorded a song "New Romance" for the soundtrack. The song is pretty decent for a actor/singer who's kinda new to the scene. It's kind of Maroon 5-sounding.
Anyway, what's really important here is the brilliant video that parodies the ridiculously elaborate death scenes that Final Destination is famous for, by transposing it to a Saved By The Bell set!
That's right. The set, the costumes, the hair... the attention to detail for all the Saved By The Bell references is pretty impressive. And it's funny watching each of the student come to their unfortunate, but hilarious, demises.
They even recreate the infamous "I'm So Excited" scene by Jesse Spano.
Watch the video to see if anyone survives!
Continuing her strong comeback, here is Jennifer Lopez's latest video for "I'm Into You" featuring Lil Wayne (who thankfully doesn't pop in to ugly up the video).
The slow reggae-inspired jam sounds like something that was intended for Rihanna, right down to the "na na na" bits. But, one pop star's trash is another one's #1 hit.
The video features J-Lo doing what she does best. Looking hot. This time, she's looking hot while getting lost in an Aztec pyramid, having a random dance break in the middle of the video to her song "Papi", then sitting by the beach (brought to you by Gucci and Koma [as if she would ever drink that]), and getting wet in the ocean. Yes, somehow Mrs. Anthony has managed to control time and has taken us back to 2000, because I don't know how else to explain how hot she still looks!
Meanwhile, she gets to snuggle up to a Brad Pitt/Paul Walker hybrid. Da-yum! If someone like that came running up to me at the beach, I'd be repeating "I'm into you" too!
Britney has dropped her latest video for "Till The World Ends", one of my fave tracks off of her latest album, Femme Fatale.
The clip is a much needed improvement from the mess that was "Hold It Against Me". There is a coherent, simple story line, and Britney seems to be much more relaxed and happy. Sure her dancing still isn't up to snuff, but at least she's moving her legs this time around.
In the video, the date is December 21st, 2012 and we find Britney and a ragtag gang of misfits moving underground while asteroids pummel the earth. They're dancing, sweating and pretty much having an orgy. Hell, if the world was ending, that sounds like a pretty good place to be.
Now, some novices are claiming Britney is copying Ke$ha and Gaga, but to them I say, "Educate yourself!"
If anything, "Till The World Ends" is pretty much an exact replica of her steamy video "I'm A Slave 4 U". The sweaty bodies, the glaring spotlights, the copious amounts of dry humping - it's all there. The only difference is that instead of waiting for rain to end the drought in "Slave", Britney is now waiting for the sunlight after the asteroid attack.
So, while it might not be the most original video, it's still pretty hot and a fine addition to the Britney videography.
Also, the guy with the shaved head she dances with at the beginning? Yeah, that's one meteor I wouldn't mind crashing into.
Gay rapper Cazwell is back with more swagger, more beats and more shirtless boys with his new song "Get My Money Back".
The track is a bit more dance-inspired, which I guess is expected when you have people like Busta Rhymes and Tinie Tempah doing dance tracks as well.
The song is all about Cazwell bragging about his game and the video inexplicably find the guys in the dead of winter, eating hot dogs, gambling and dancing in various animal hats.
Sure, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But, with such eye candy, who needs a plot?
After the Cataracs have helped propel Dev to stardom by bouncing her booty bounce and taking the bass down low, it's only fair that she helps them out now that it's their turn to shine.
"Top of the World" carries on the sexy party times, with the guys playing cops who are called to bust a party up. It turns out to be a sexy pseudo-lesbian party (why don't I ever get invited to those?) and these guys can't resist joining in on all the fun.
It looks like The Cataracs and Dev are continuing their quest for global dance domination. And I don't mind, cuz they seem like a really chill crew that know how to par-tay. Plus, Cyrano is super cute!!! MMMM! I'd get my bass down low with him!
